A qualified salary inspector is a trained professional whose role is to examine the salary systems of organizations and verify their compliance with labor and salary laws in Israel. It identifies deficiencies, offers solutions, and issues official certificates that demonstrate compliance with the law's requirements.
A salary check is essential for several reasons:
  1. Prevention of heavy financial sanctions from the Ministry of Labor.
  2. Maintaining employee rights and creating a fair work environment.
  3. Improving the organization's reputation as a responsible employer.
  4. Identifying and treating mistakes that can be costly over time.
  5. Economic efficiency by optimizing the salary system.
בודק שכר מוסמך הינו איש מקצוע מיומן שהוכשר ספציפית לביצוע בדיקות שכר מקיפות. הסמכתו ניתנת על ידי משרד העבודה והכלכלה לאחר השלמת תכנית הכשרה ייעודית ועמידה במבחנים מחמירים.

Most of the time, during the audit, deficiencies in the salary payments/social rights for employees arise. The Ministry of Labor after the salary audit requires the salary auditors to sample additional employees and perform a salary audit for a larger sample of employees
This means that in addition to the employees for whom the deficiencies were discovered, the salary inspector must sample additional employees who were not selected as part of the audit
So the salary review for the purpose of correcting the deficiencies is a similar procedure to the Ministry of Labor's salary review, only the salary reviewer must check the employees' entitlement to the salary differences retroactively from the beginning of their employment.
In the bottom line, you do need to make sure to send the wage inspector additional documents besides those already sent to the labor office, but the procedure is not complicated and if everything is in order in the company in terms of documentation and paperwork, then no great effort is required
During the wage inspection for the purpose of granting approval for the correction of deficiencies, the employer must sometimes pay wage differences to additional employees who were not inspected as part of the Ministry of Labor's wage audit
Many times the concern arises for employers - will the Ministry of Labor impose a sanction on them for violations regarding additional employees (who were not checked in a salary audit, but were checked by the salary inspector)
So, of course, the purpose of correcting the deficiencies is to show the labor office that the employer is removing the default and is working to correct the violations as much as possible. The Ministry of Labor does not intend to impose the burden of discovering additional violations on the wage inspector, and certainly not to impose additional sanctions on the employer for correcting the deficiencies
The sanctions imposed (if and when) for the inspection months of those employees who were inspected in the audit
Bottom line, the Ministry of Labor expects the employer to correct the deficiencies that emerged in the audit itself so that the new enforcement policy can be applied to the employer
They do not intend to expand with the sanctions regarding additional employees, beyond what was sampled by them
At the end of the audit, the employer must correct the deficiencies discovered in him so that the Ministry of Labor can treat the employer with a softer hand and soften the sanctions. To this end, the employer must correct the deficiencies that came up in the Ministry of Labor's audit and specify what actions he took so that these violations do not arise in the future
A manager's statement is a document in which the employer details what actions he took to correct the deficiencies that arose during the audit and declares that as far as he knows and understands there are no additional violations in his business from the violations attributed to him
Certainly, every employer receives the summary of the findings of the investigation and the decisions made by the Financial Sanctions Commissioner
It is absolutely possible, another audit in the business may happen again after about two years on average, after the first audit has ended, or due to an employee's complaint.
